What exactly is Punch Kettlebell Gym of Norwalk all about?
Punch, in small classes or one-on-one training, provides instruction on fitness and nutrition, with generous heapings of motivation and fun! The emphasis is on full-body movement using kettlebells, Vintage dumbbells and barbells, tires, ropes, and other cutting-edge equipment. The goal is to get you moving, elevate your heart rate, and build lean muscle, so your body burns twice as much fat. You do NOT have to get bulky, but you will get strong.
Our program emphasizes the core muscles of the body. This is called functional fitness. Your stomach down to your knees is your core. When you work your core, every other parts of your body benefit tremendously. Meanwhile, you will not have to do long, boring cardio workouts or sit on machines counting reps. Those days are gone!
The social element at the gym will be part of your success. The camaraderie and support you’ll find is tremendous. Our philosophy is that it doesn’t matter what level you’re at – a positive attitude is everything. This isn’t another big box gym. We aren’t just collecting memberships. We’re interested in results. So what are these kettlebells?
We use a variety of equipment at Punch. At the core of what we do are kettlebells. The kettlebell is a cast iron weight resembling a cannon ball with a handle, designed for exercising all your muscles in concert and balanced movement. We don’t lift them so much as move with them. Kettlebells are a proven and time-tested tool for rehabilitation, sports and strength training and weight loss. We don’t use the muscle-isolating machines you’ll find at other gyms. We use alternative equipment that has been proven to be more effective.
What if I'm not in very good shape?
Everyone can do our program. If you’re not in good shape, we’ll start you slow. There will be others in the same boat so you won’t be left behind. Anyway, you’ll get up to speed much more quickly than you can probably imagine right now. At Punch, you will be safely challenged, but never with more than you can handle. We have years of experience with all ages and fitness levels. Help is here both from our instructors and the friendly support you will get from our other clients. We work as a team and everybody wins!
Do you have a flexible schedule?
Our clients include doctors and nurses, firemen, moms, teachers and others who need flexible schedules. We make every effort to accommodate people’s needs. During the week, we have early morning, lunch, and evening classes. We also have classes on weekends. We also have one-on-one training available at your convenience by appointment. Membership provides for unlimited class participation so you can attend for as many as you’re able to attend.
What results can I expect?
Inches will literally melt away as you add lean muscle and lose unwanted fat. Your skin will glow, your eyes will clear and you’ll sleep like a baby. Besides the body transformation you’ll have, and the improvement in your health, you’ll have a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment. Is your program safe, and what if I have an injury or weakness?
We keep you safe by carefully emphasizing proper technique, beginning with our Faze 1 program. Our instructors are attentive to each individual, and they are all Art of Strength trained. We use high-quality equipment, and we give appropriate weights to each client. Our program of building core strength will actually make you less injury-prone. You can also benefit if you already have injuries or weaknesses. What we do has a strong rehabilitative effect.
How do I get started?
Call us at 203-354-9370 to make an appointment for a FREE orientation. It’s one-on-one and takes about an hour. We’ll go over your individual goals and needs and we’ll also show you the kinds of things you’ll be doing in class or your one-on-one sessions.
Your fitness level will be assessed and you’ll learn about your training options. What can be measured can be improved. We ascertain a baseline of where you are today so we can document your progress. Nothing is as motivating as watching your body change before your eyes, and the optional measurements and pictures we take will reinforce that. If you take measurements and pictures they will be held in strict confidence and never shared.
What should I bring with me?
The most important thing for you to bring is a positive, can-do attitude and a desire for a stimulating workout.
How much does Punch Kettlebell Gym of Norwalk cost?
Membership costs between $149 and $189 per month, depending on which program you choose – 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year. The price of a one-month trial period is $249. For that, you get unlimited participation in scheduled classes.
One-on-one training is available for $65 to $100 per session, depending on how many sessions you purchase. Semi-private training is also available upon request.
